These terms apply when you use Jalkit.in (the "site"), which is operated by Jalkit.in. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, Cancellation & Refund Policy and Shipping Policy, which form part of these terms.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Parents and guardians order on behalf of students.
• Please give accurate details and keep them up to date, especially your delivery address and phone number.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for orders placed from your account.

School book lists

We build each school and class list from information we receive from schools, publishers and distributors. We work to keep the lists accurate, but schools sometimes change them. Please check the list against the one your school gives you before ordering, and tell us if you spot a difference. Unless a school's page says otherwise, we are an independent seller and do not act on behalf of the school.

Prices and orders

• Prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and include all taxes. We never charge more than the printed MRP.
• Your order is confirmed when we send you an order confirmation. We may cancel an order, or part of it, if an item is out of stock or was listed at a clearly wrong price. If we do, we will tell you and refund the full amount for the cancelled items.
• We charge the price shown at checkout when you place the order, even if it changes later.

Delivery, cancellations and refunds

Delivery is covered by our Shipping Policy. Cancellations, returns and refunds are covered by our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Using the site

Please don't misuse the site. That includes trying to access other people's accounts or data, disrupting the service, scraping it in bulk, or using it for anything unlawful.

Content and trademarks

The site's own text, design and logo belong to Jalkit.in. Book titles, cover images, product names and trademarks belong to their publishers or owners and are shown only to identify the products we sell.

Liability

We are responsible for delivering the products you order as described. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

Complaints

If something goes wrong, contact our Grievance Officer. We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receiving it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your rights to approach a consumer commission, disputes will be heard by the competent courts in India.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, and will change the date above when we do. The version in force when you placed an order applies to that order.
